IgA nephropathy is entering a new therapeutic era, with rapidly evolving approaches to risk stratification, supportive care, and disease-specific treatment. This session will provide a focused overview of the KDIGO 2025 IgA nephropathy updates, highlighting key changes in evaluation, prognostication, and treatment strategies. Emphasis will be placed on how to translate these recommendations into real-world clinical practice, including the integration of novel therapies and refinement of treatment thresholds.

Sayna Norouzi, MD
Dr. Norouzi is a nephrologist with clinical and academic expertise in glomerular diseases, with a particular focus on IgA nephropathy and other proteinuric kidney diseases. Her work centers on integrating emerging evidence into clinical practice, with an emphasis on individualized patient care and optimization of long-term kidney outcomes.
She is actively engaged in the care of patients with complex glomerular disorders and contributes to advancing education in nephrology through teaching and scholarly work. Dr. Norouzi brings a practical, case-based approach to guideline interpretation, helping clinicians navigate the rapidly evolving therapeutic landscape in IgA nephropathy.
