Program Overview

The vision of the Fellows School for Leadership Education (FSLE) is to equip nephrology postdoctoral and clinical fellows with the skills they need to thrive — both personally and professionally.

The program focuses on building a strong support network through connection with WIN fellows and faculty mentors, fostering confidence in identifying one’s niche and securing a meaningful career path, and developing essential skills in leadership, conflict management, and mindfulness.

The WIN FSLE is a 5-month virtual leadership program centered on four core pillars: mastery, management, mindfulness, and morale. Participants engage in structured learning sessions and culminate the experience with in-person networking and programming at the 2026 WIN Leadership Conference (September 25–26, New York).

A maximum of 15 participants are selected for each cohort to ensure a high-quality, interactive experience. Upon completion, participants receive a certificate of recognition that can be highlighted on their CV. Men are welcome and encouraged to apply.

Eligibility Criteria

• WIN membership (membership is free for fellows, follow this link to join https://www.womeninnephrology.org/membership/ )
• Be motivated to set goals and visions for your future in nephrology
• Be able to attend four, 1.5-hour educational workshop sessions (7 pm CST)
• Be able to complete pre-workshop reading and/or assignment, if applicable
• Be able to attend one, 1-hour final reflection session (Early September 2026)
• Be able to attend the WIN Leadership Conference (September 25-26, in New York) as the culmination of this academy.

• Please provide a written answer to the following questions:
  1. What are your top 3 strengths and weaknesses?
  2. What do you hope to gain from this experience? (Limit response to 1 page).
• Attach a copy of your most recent, updated CV
• Provide contact information for your Program Director. They will be informed of your acceptance to the program, should you get selected
