Maryam Tavanaei, M.D. (Councilor)
Dr Tavanaei is a board-certified nephrologist dedicated to providing exceptional kidney care in the Los Angeles area. After earning a medical degree in Iran, she completed an internal medicine residency in Santa Barbara before pursuing advanced training in nephrology at UCLA, where she served as chief fellow. With a passion for patient-centered care, Dr. Tavanaei now practices as a clinical nephrologist, specializing in the diagnosis and management of kidney diseases, hypertension, and dialysis treatments. Dr. Tavanaei has been an active member of WIN with annual attendance of leadership conference, she has been elected to serve as WIN council member since 2025.
