Manisha Jhamb, MD, MPH is an Associate Professor of Medicine, and Clinical & Translational Science in the Renal-Electrolyte Division at the University of Pittsburgh. She currently serves as the Associate Division Chief, Director of Center for Population Health Management and Co-Director of Clinical Research in the Renal-Electrolyte Division. She is board-certified in nephrology and clinical informatics. She received her medical school training in India, and Masters in Public Health at the University of Texas in Houston. She then completed her residency from West Penn Hospital and nephrology fellowship from the University of Pittsburgh. She is an established clinician scientist and health services researcher with interest in testing interventions to improve CKD care delivery, patient-centered outcomes and quality of life in kidney disease. She has over 70 peer reviewed publications and her work has been funded by the National Institute of Health and American Heart Association. She is committed to training and mentoring, co-leads the NIH-funded Pittsburgh Center for Training in Kidney, Urology and Hematology, and has mentored over 25 early and mid-career researchers and clinicians. She is a strong advocate of equal opportunities for all in academia, and founded the Pittsburgh Chapter of Women in Nephrology.
